We left for Minnesota just a few days before baby's first birthday. At "A Different Grandma's" we prepped and enjoyed his first birthday with both grandparents (my parents drove out for their vacation.)
Audric was our "shark" birthday, and since we called Oz "shamu" while he was in my tummy, we went with that...

Mar-a-Lago Turkey burgers from Shauna Neiquest's "Bread and Wine." They were just ok...but I may try again.
Unfortunately, this baby was so whiney, so about an hour before the party, I put him down for a nap...and he slept through most of the party.
More Banana Cake as has become tradition for my birthday boys....
Red cheek = Bad Mom. He fell off a chair while I was setting up. Doh!
And...while it would take me a week to figure out, he had an ear infection and fever at his party. Such is how he spent the entire first year: sick! And this began an epic 3 weeks of illness...
Thinking he was better, we tried a few days later to get some more "cake" photos, but he wasn't interested! What's this blue stuff?! At least I got a couple of him smiling!
