Sad Day

On Friday, Audric went to day care for the first time.  He was supposed to go last Friday, but they were closed because the owner and her son came down with a stomach bug.  

Last night, I heard Audric coughing...I was in his room, so I peeked in his crib and could see throw up.  I picked him up, and dinner ended up on the bedroom floor.  Poor guy.

Sick babies are so sad. So helpless.  

Anyway, we were planning on helping at church this morning - guess that was cancelled (I feel terrible about bailing!) - and then driving to Las Vegas for a little getaway.  We figured driving 4-6 hours and then trying to navigate a hotel, walking, finding food, etc. just wouldn't be very much fun.  Jason called the hotel to cancel and they were rude.  We lost our first night we'd paid for at the hotel, but I suppose that's what parents do, right?

Audric slept in the pac n play next to use last night.  He nursed twice.  I totally woke him up at one point because he was coughing and I thought he'd throw up again. He didn't though and went right back to sleep.  He seems a lot happier this morning and has nursed two more times.  J and I are hoping we don't get it too!  Boo!
