Running Free

One 1/2 marathon down. One to go.

Yesterday, I bought the world's best sports bra. Seriously. Run out and buy one today ladies. Then, today, I bought another pair of my same running shoes. I figure it's easiest to stick with what works, right?

And, after reuniting this summer with some friends from high school, and keeping up with them on facebook, I've been inspired to do a Triathlon. Well, sort of. It's one of the short ones, which, I've learned, is called a Sprint: 600 meter swim, 10 miles on a bike, and 3.1 mile run. Doable. Totally. And now I have a goal for getting out of bed this summer. It's in my hometown, on the lake I grew up on, so I figure it could be a sweet sort of "homecoming."

And I just keep thanking God for a body that lets me push it, hurt it, bend it...and I keep feeling great. I'm blessed to not have many aches and pains, but even if I did, I'd be grateful that I could feel pain that told me to quit. I pray that I will be able to run until old age!
