Several years back, I decided, after my year and a half in Russia, that I wanted to get a Master's degree in International Education. Last Friday, I did.
As I sat through graduation, I started to cry because I have done something most people, including me, only dream of. I have friends -- real, true, honest friends -- who live around the world. I have more knowledge of other cultures than most people will have in their lifetimes. And I have gotten to spend two summers overseas. I really dreamed of this, but I never thought it would happen. And so it has.
Before I left last year, my aide, Mayra, gave me a book of 25 things to do in Spain. None stood out for me, except these beautiful arches in the Mezquita in Cordoba. On Monday, I got

to see them. And they -- and the history of the Mezquita-Cathedral -- blew my mind. We study the Crusades. We learn about the Muslim-Christian conflict. But not enough. Who knew that at one time, Christians and Muslims stood together. Of course there was fighting on either end of that unity.

Of course, the battle has continued for hundreds of years. But the beauty of the various architectures is AMAZING! Blending cultures is beautiful.

And a few months ago, my friend Richelle suggested we travel together after I finish my degree. I really wanted to go to Morocco, but thought it was too dangerous as girls. So we settled on the Southern Coast. "All I want to do is get a nice hotel and CHILL on the beach." Guess what we did today?

Ok, so we ended the day poolside, but you get the picture.
So, in less than a week, more than three of my dreams have come true. Is it a sign? I'd say so!
